OUR ALL NEW THEATRE CAMPS FOR 2012
EACH ONE WEEK CAMP ENDS WITH A PERFORMANCE ON THE LAST DAY

Pirate Week: June 4-8 – ages 6-10
Musical – How to be a Pirate

Hoist the sail and join the crew during pirate week! Our actors will not only enjoy Master classes including acting, movement and voice, but they will also perform "How to be a Pirate", a mini-musical about an ornery, yet sweet Captain and his 1st mate who teach everyone they meet to be pirates. Shiver me timbers!

Music by the Decades: June 4-8 – Ages 11-15

Learn popular songs from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and today – put them together with some great choreography and we've got a show! Check out how music and dance have changed through the years – actors will be able to help choose songs and dances.

Space Week: June 11-15 – ages 6-10
Musical - The Mice from Outer Space

Young imaginations run wild when the subject is outer space. That's just what we are counting on during Space week. All campers will participate in a variety of master classes as well as sing and dance in the musical "The Mice from Outer Space." This mini-musical is a fun story that revolves around a group of space mice who crash on earth and the strange new friends they meet while they are here.

Best of Broadway: June 11-15 – Ages 11-15

Whether it 's an oldie like "Fiddler," or a newer show like "Wicked," Broadway has songs that seep into every day life. Learn songs from a variety of shows – and put them together with some fun stage choreography.

4-WEEK CAMP – JUNE 18 –JULY 13 – Campers ages 7-13; Directors in Training 14-16

Our spectacular regular 4-week camp is still being offered as well. A script will be chosen based on number of campers enrolled, but they're always great musicals. Workshops are offered in a variety of theatre skills and everyone works together on the play itself. DITs learn all of the technical elements, and actually run the show! Full musical performance on the last Thursday of camp for friends and family.

Circus Week: July 16-20 – ages 6-10
Musical - Circus Circus

The Circus is in town and there's excitement in the air! During this fun week of camp, our campers will enjoy classes that involve clowning and other types of circus fun. But wait, there's more! Our actors will also perform the entertaining mini musical "Circus Circus." Come join the clowns, jugglers, dancing bears, lions and a host of other hilarious performers as they help one very sad clown smile again!

Interactive Theatre: July 16-20 – Ages 11-15

You'll learn all sorts of great skills in creating and performing your interactive melodrama. Improv techniques are used to develop fun characters who can easily move in and out of working with the audience and getting them involved. Will end with a full interactive performance. We're hoping this can become a regular program of AJTC with interactive dinner theatre shows being done around town!

Broadway Week: July 23-27 – Ages 6-10
Musical - Broadway Beat

Do you hear that beat? It's the sound of dancing feet and orchestras tuning up. It's the sound dreams are made of. It's the sound of Broadway! This week during camp our campers will celebrate musical theatre by participating in all types of musical theatre workshops and performing a Broadway musical of their own! "Broadway Beat" is New York at its best, with hits from the biggest musicals, and fun facts about Broadway!

On Camera! July 23-27 Ages 11-15

Acting on camera uses specialized skills that you'll learn. In addition to acting, you'll learn how to film and edit your own scene – and go home with a digital remembrance!
